I have just bought a VL Calais 5.0 which had some pretty bad vibration/knocking through the driveline. Thought the problem was the centre bearing- so pulled the Tailshaft out yesterday and replaced centre bearing and re-packed the CV joint with beairng grease. After re-fitting and test driving last night- it is now a lot bettter, no more knocking and only minor vibration under heavy load. To get the car spot on I want to replace the CV- just not sure at this stage if the 5L/Turbos have a different CV to the N/A 6?
Any help would be appreciated.

I just answered my own question by ringing Bursons. There is only 1 type of CV Joint used for the Tailshaft suits all models from VB to VR.
