Get the seller to measure the backspacing for you. I fitted a set of (non genuine) BMW 16X7 wheels to the Wife's VP Commodore once. Drove it all of 30km before removing them.

The car looked great however due to the deeper dish the car became a handfull as every bump tried to pull the steering wheel out of my hands & the rear wheels scraped on the guard lip.

The centre hole in the wheel will most likely be way to big for the Commodore (BMW had two different centre bore sizes)too but that's fixable with hub centreing rings.

I THINK you will find the offset on 3 Series wheels are OK, but best to check first. Seller may be able to advise the offset on the wheels for you.

Redvcman is probably right about 3 series rims. My wheels were off a 5 series & a mate of mine once told me that BMW's had the same 5 stud pattern but different series had different offset wheels.

Still checking that they have a similar back spacing to your Commodore rims would be a good indicator.
