The timing cover of my Blue 202 leaks oil from the bottom rubber gasket. I have changed the gasket 3 times with a new one but still have the same problem. Last time, I glued it onto it with contact adhesive, and used silicone between it and the sump. It seemed to be OK for a week, but the gasket was pushed out from inside for some reason.
Can anyone share a surefire way of installing these so they dont leak?

pretty hard to get a new one in there, we used to use the old one with some selastic, cause it was all ready compressed. another way you could try is to just use selastic or silicone let it dry befor running engine, on the chev engines we left the manifold gaskets to the block out and just used silicone otherwise it would allways leak. pete.

If the rubber gasket is being pushed out it sounds more like you are over tightening the bolts. Use Loctite "Blue Max" silastic (which is oil resistant) but make sure you let it cure for at least 24 hours. I've used it on the last 3 engines I've built and havent had a leak yet.
