I am currently wiring a Hot Rod using a HZ Holden loom. I have removed all uneccsary wiring and I am left with A loom for the motor, a loom for the lights/blinkers etc. Can someone explain where the main power to the fuse box comes from. There is a thick red wire from the starter motor to the ignition switch. Is this where the power to the fuse box comes from or is it from the alternater. The only wire from the alternator into the wiring system is a brown wire and appears to only operate the Alternator charge light. Hope this all makes sense, anyone got any advice or opinions

A wire from the output terminal of the alternator to the starter motor power terminal or battery + terminal.
