Yep, someone has to pay for all those multi million dollar car dealerships. Just like Las Vegas they wouldn't be there if they couldn't take us to the cleaners.

About 4 years ago, I got a couple of keys cut for my VT. New fob, new blade, programmed. $88 from Mr Minit. Might be different for a VY, but the fob itself looks the same.
I phoned Holden a couple of months ago about getting a spare for my girlfriends TS Astra, and they wanted close to $300...

VP's are the worst. I forked out $180 for a remote fob and programming 10 years ago. The brand new fob was useless within two years so we never bothered with it again because you could at least turn the immobiliser off in a VP.
Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only. |

I got new keys for the Vz Cross8 and V2 CV8 about 6 months ago. Total cost $75 each at a shopping centre kiosk.

Same as Byron,my daughter replaced a key for her VX at our local shopping centre kiosk. It cost $60 without having to cut a new blade, took 5 minute's,including programing.

be carefull with those dodgy keys for the shopping centre mall maybe cheap they copy the code from the original key to the new one, basically the key can drop its code then no start, great in the middle of the night, i beleive with a genuine key it has a permament code you tell the bcm to accept that code. pete.
