The HSV enhanced 185i Ooption was available on the Commodore V8 in VR & VS, and was even publicised in the sales brochures.
If it is HSV enhanced, there will be a build plate on the firewall, either above the engine, or above the brake booster.
You can also check your VIN number on the HSV site:
http://www.hsv.com.au/hsv/owners/authenticate.aspxPower antenna & windows were part of a "power pack" option on the VR SS.
Cruise was standard fitment on the autos only (n/a on manual).
Standard VR SS power is 165kw. This is the same standard output for the EFI 5L from VN thru to VS1.
This was upped to 168kw in the VS2 with the different airbox, and upped to 179kw for the VT.
Obvioulsy the HSV engines, and strokers (5.7) had more power.
The VR/VS HSV 185 pack is all external - it consists of a cold-air scoop over the radiator, extracts & exhaust (with a slim oval tip), memcal(chip) & knock sensor - the additional grey wire taped to the ECU loom is the giveaway on this one.
This was all fitted by HSV, after the car was produced.
Quite a lot of HSV enhanced VRs also got the 16x7" HSV "Family" pentagonal wheel - a 7" version of the 16x8" fitted to the SV5000.
Cheers,
Mick
