Gday, having some major drama trying to do the simplest of things.Cant seem to get the light switch knob and choke cable off the dash to remove speedo fascia. Ive tried to feel for a button on light switch box behind dash to remove it but to no avail and the simple choke i wont even start. Help before i put a match to the whole thing, as you can see its just another sunday with nice easy plans and nothing works bout beer time i think

Ah Don, this is an ancient and mystical initiation ceremony for those wanting to become HK guru's, one must perservere my son... or read what I've put up, lol  The choke cable has a flat faced nut holding it to the dash, place a small flat bladed screw driver into one of the two slots and gently tap it anti clockwise, once you get it started stick you hand in behind and keep the cable pressed up behind the dash to make it easier to undo it all the way. thanks 80569k i rang a mate who fortunately has a hg munro and he talked me through it yesterday. that little spring button was hard to find when you have hands like bananas. But yes your right one must persevere, take his time, relax, walk away to beer fridge crack one and return to task at hand. i found this worked quite well.
