Hi everyone, I am new here and a new falcon owner with one major problem. I am looking for the part that connects the front handbreak cable to the rear handbreak cable on a floor mounted, foot operated, handbreak out of a 1996 6 seater EF 95A Falcon GLI sedan, (Ex Cab). The part, I found out when I went to get the handbreak adjusted, was completely missing. I have been told that I can use the part out of anything from a EF to EL, 7th 94 to 8th 98. I have searched countless websites for this part as well as ringing more wreckers that I can remember. Thought I had one from a wrecker in Brisbane last week but that fell through so am back to searching forums for ppl with old 6 seater EF's or old 6 seater EF parts
I recently bought this vehical unregistered and this part is all that is keeping me from getting it pink slipped and re-registered. If you don't have the part but do have a copy of the manual with the handbrake assembly in it, can u please send me that instead as if I can't find the part, I will need to get it fabricated. I am in the Byron Shire in Nth NSW and am happy to pay postage from anywhere or anyone that can help me out.
Thanks, Big Greg.

6 Seater EF/EL's were never that common so finding a second hand cable as you have found is a excersise in futility.

Can you still get them new from a Ford dealer? probably not as they are over 5 years old but you might be surprised.

If not the cable MIGHT just fit out of any EA EB or ED Falcon as they all had an umbrella handle handbrake to the left of the steering collumn which is much the same place as your foot operated handbrake.

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.
