Anyone tryed rb 6cyl into hz sedan im sure it would go easily just wondering about sumps,trans,or any other tricks cheers

Hi mate,
Im putting an RB30 into an HQ ute. This is most of what I have learned along the way.
CRS sell conversion engine mount plates, an unassembled gearbox crossmember and a speedo cable for this conversion for about $300.

Awesomely detailed response cheers dave Obviously im thinking about re powering my hz with somthing different also have access to another nissan motor out of a z31 300zx vg20et which has the sump bulge in the right place dont spose you,ve heard anything

Not really up with the Nissan motors other than the RB30's. I'm assuming that the VG20ET is a V6 of 2 litres capacity with Injection and a turbo....?
It may be different on the other side of the ditch, but in Australia, the 2 and 2.5 litre turbo's aren

My first thoughts where about lack of torque also but 216nm@4000rpm & 125 kw @ 6000rpm seem respectable. In a factory stock 1260 kg 300zx 0-100km 7.68sec & 400m in 15.78secs @ 148.8 kmh not exactly blinding but might be ok in my 1389kg prem sedan. Well be

Hi Chris,
The Qutes coming along very slowly (unfortunately).
OK...were chasing economy and reasonable performance in a 1400 kg sedan....
Dont forget that those figures for the V6 are at WOT and with the turbo spooled up.

it will cost you $6 grand easily....better to buy one already done if possible...theres a RB HZ tonner on ebay at mo going for about $4 north of melbourne. The better motor to put in is the vastly superior Toyuota 4 litre V8 that came out in the 1989 le
