John
Firstly, I say that you deserve a huge compliment for driving your car across the continent to attend the Nationals.
As many of you know I trailered my Monaro four hundred Ks so by comparison I am a ppuussy.
I confirm everything Al has said about Nick....and I thought I was anal about presenting my cars.....While I was snoring, Nick was washing!
Granted, Nick did not drive his car across the continent to get there and yes it did arrive in Warwick on the back of a truck....but as usual for Nick he did not even give it a second thought when it came to driving the beige car with us in the rain at highway speed on Sunday.
I am sure you will agree with me John that when it comes to presenting the best cars of their kind in existence that it is no surprise to see them arrive on a trailer.
I have no problem with cars arriving at shows on trailers... before I owned a trailer I admittedly looked at those with trailers with a bit of envy.
Can anyone tell me if Paul drove his fantastic 307 HK to the event?
By the way Nick did the same thing at Ballarat on the Sunday after. In convoy with my car an several others he did about two hundred miles around the beautiful Ballarat and district countryside...in the rain.
Nick enjoys driving the car whenever he can and often drives to events.
He also lets the occasional boofhead drive his car too!...:
...Muscle Car Masters Eastern Creek Sep 2009.
Last year Nick drove his Monaro from Sydney to the Bruce McPhee Farm at Wyong for a Club BBQ. And he did not spare it, cruising up the freeway at 110 keeping pace with V8 Monaros and Falcon GTs alike.
John, I hope you enjoyed the Nationals and I am sorry I did not get the chance to meet you. Hopefully we can get over to your side of the country in 2012. If so I look forward to meeting you.
Nick
