Hi Just put a digital degree protractor on my diff pinion and it read 89.6 degrees , gearbox centreline angle was 85 degrees . Do I need to get diff pinion angle back to 85 degrees ? where should it be ? Thanks any help much appreciated .

If you are able to achieve the same angle for the two, the chance of vibration through the driveline will be eliminated. The other point to note is the angle that you have from center shaft of the gearbox to the uni. Have a look at this link, it will explain it quite well with a few images & diagrams. To remedy this problem, I recently fitted wedged shims between diff & leaf springs to change the diff pinion angle & raise the gearbox mount as well. http://www.classicchevy5...lignment_Proc_111606.pdfUtility8 Edited by user Friday, 3 September 2010 8:46:12 PM(UTC)
