Hi all,
I have just bought a factory air conditioner to install into my HJ monaro. It came in two boxes and is a big jigsaw puzzle. Does any one have any drawings or wiring diagrams for it. Under bonnet photos would be great if any one can help.
Cheers,
Pete.

I should be able to help you out with some diagrams for an HX (the same as HJ as near as dammit).

Send me an Email at qute at old holden dot com with the usual changes and no spaces.

what holes do you have to drill? on the hq i never had to drill any.
Make sure you pull the left fender and inner guard off or you will have a lot of trouble fitting it. Also make sure you get the control cables as they are different on the air con model

Hi Guys.

johnperth, you have to drill the holes for the 2 heater core pipes, down below the fan housing & you also have to drill the hole for the vacuum hoses & wiring to come thru the centre of the firewall.

There are also the holes to run the cond

Hi Dr Terry,

As you probably know, I have a WB dash in my HQ ute but have the aircon from a WB van/ute which, I think, have a different number of vacuum switches to the Stato. Any idea whether I can use to WB controller or whether I have to adapt the W

Hi Dave.

If the ute/van controller fits easily go that way.

If it doesn't, the only difference between the Statesman unit & the commercial unit is that the Statesman one has the bi-level provision with 2 diaphragms for face level instead of only 1.

There are two more holes that need to be drilled as well. They are only little but can cause major rust problems if not treated correctly. When you pull out the non-air plastic air vents that bolt up under the plenum, these are only held in by two screws.

Thanks for the Reply Dr Terry. Any idea where the one way valves are available from?

Byron...when I put the WB aircon into the HQ, the right hand side blanking plate had 3 holes not 2 (although it is a 6/74 HQ if that makes a difference...)

Cheers
