Im running a warm to hot 308 in a hg prem, in front of a turbo400. Im yet to get a replacement yoke to fit the tailshaft to accomodate the turbo400, but thats another story. Just writing to ask what would be the best option for a diff in this case? Im not looking for anything terribly smooth, or terribly rough, just something that'll take some throttle. The turbo400 is operating with a 4500 stall converter, so the engines not built for cruising, just to let you know, but it will be used on the street.
Any help would be great.

I know that a VB-VK 10-bolt is around an inch shorter either side. These are strong but will break, even though you're only running a 308 which won't produce the torque of a bigger engine. The TH400 will soften the output slightly too. Another diff that i |

can you suggest a ratio? i've been told the 3.55's are good for takeoff but killers on the highway. a 3.35 was also suggested.

Hi HG_Prem.
It depends on the duration of your camshaft & what inlet manifold you're using, but either the 3.36 or the 3.55 will be your choice.
