Could somebody please tell me if the engine bay colour for an EH Special is to be in low gloss black or were they painted with what ever they had at the time.I am doing a restoration at present. I understand that the dash should be Dartford grey low gloss.
Any info would help.

Mate, yes the engine bays were pianted with left over paint to resemble a flat black. It also depended on where the car was put together. Perth engine bays are a smokey black.
