Its an early Brisbane built HZ chassis number (around 9/78) - It was a panel van and has been converted to a ute, and a

VERY early (like May 1971) HQ 308 engine.

Holden HZ, originally factory two seater V8 four speed. Caprice front clip, GTS guards & dash, Monaro seats, mildly worked

5ltr with 5spd Supra gearbox. Needs panel & paint, general tidy up. Mechanically good, runs & sounds great, uses/loses no

fluids.

All gauges work. Has new clutch, brake master cylinder, mufflers and a few other sundry bits and pieces that were required

to get rego, nothing major. Been a great ute, a head turner & fun to drive. Power steering would make it a bit more urban

friendly but is still a pleasure to drive.

Fitted new steering box, front tires, 29/01/10.

Re rust, rust is not serious, the worst is both cowls at bottom of
windscreen, If I was to keep the ute I would replace them.
Other rust is along rear window where tonneu cover goes, looks
like it has started around the clips for the cover, again it's not
that serious, no holes, just lifting paint. There are a couple of bubbles in the passenger
door (front bottom corner) and drivers door(rear bottom corner).
I've had the car on a hoist and couldn't find any rust underneath.
She's a very solid & honest ute, was original factory V8 4 spd,
plated as 2 seater.

Paint is starting to show its age with stone chips, scratches etc, nothing major as most of them don't show up in the pics,

so don't be expecting a show quality vehicle, especially not for the money I'm asking.

Ute will need some work on the carby(could just be a cleanout) or a replacement carby, intermittantly seems to starve for

fuel then clears itself and runs beautifully again. Running a quadrajet at present.

Mechanic checked ute and found following problems.

LH Tail light & LH Brakelight not working
No high beam, need 2 x headlight assemblies.
Rear springs top leaf fitted upside down. Tailshaft fitted backwards.
Rear g/box seal leaking. Front sump bolt missing & tighten sump. Secure inspection plate.
Weld chassis behind lower control arm.
No washers, replace wipers. Wrong radiator fitted.
Rust in rear window and doors. Mod plate required for 4speed 5 speed.
