Hi All
I was reading in a classic car magazine that fuels like Optimax burn at a higher temperature that old super used to.
According to this mag even if you have hardened valve seats the higher operating temperature makes engines such as my old 202 red vulnerable to head gasket failure.
Two questions 1)Is this likely to be a factor in my case?
2) DO products like flashlube decrease the burn temp or do they just lubricate??

Any tips or experience on this would be appreciated
Thanx

Phil
