Recently, I was able to acquire a Utilux Catalogue from 1965 on ebay. Here is one page that many people would find useful,

Rig, mine are all like the middle one in the above picture.
Utilux# H512 = lower radiator 350 Utilux# H512 = upper radiator 350 Utilux# H506 = heater hoses
Couldn't get the number of the bottom radiator clamp - so will take your word that it's H512. It looks the same size as the top one.

Are they gold CAD or the silver colour? Are the ones you have flat blade or Hex nut on the screw? I just want to chase up a few for my HJ Premier. I have a heap of 2nd hand ones that I was going to get cad plated, but if they are around new and cheap enough itisn't worth the stuff around plating them. |

Cool, i'll plate the ones I have and see how they come up. If I need more i'll let you know. A HJ V8 with air has a heap of the smaller ones on it, they are everywhere! |

I'm chasing original top and bottom radiator hose clamps for a 253 if anyone has some available. I have a few that I've pulled off a variety of cars at wreckers over the years but they never seem to quite be the right size. Even a part number would be great, might make ebay seller 'guestimates' on model fitment easier!

Steve SP1572 is the correct originals for Hold V8 . SP1572 were only used on Holdens as SP means"Supplemantary Part" and were the Gold Zinc/Cad and had a Fillister Head Screw (domed type cheese head). H511 is the equivalent number you bought over the counter from Utilux Clamp Dealers /Speed Shops back then and were Silver Cadmium Plated and had a plain Flat Cheese Head screw . Wayne HQ used Utilux SP1543 Worm Drive Clamps for the lowers and SP1572 strap type for the uppers . I sell the strap type H512 for the lowers in gold and always have so they match for restoration purposes , but the real nutcases want the "Number 2" SP1543 Utlilux Worm drive clamps . HQ 350s got the worm drive clamps standard as did later HT HG and recall on HK 307/327 at the time as they kept coming lose . Heater Hose Clamps i cant be bothered explaining as HQ 350s used 2 sizes (2 different heater nipples ) and the later versions of these clamps used metric screws with Phillips heads. Hope that explains it better and confuses you now !!! Edited by user Sunday, 13 February 2011 10:34:05 PM(UTC)

Thanks for that info, a bit less confused now. I'm just going by the UTILUX numbering system not too worried about the SP numbering. Whats the UTILUX number for the upper SP1572 clamps for HQ 350? I'll work out the heater hose clamps later but I eventually want to get something like the correct ones on. Thanks again
