whats the low down on the 2000-02 chevrolet blazer LT as there appears to be plenty avaliable as ex jap imports, just wanted some opinions on the vehicle...

I know what I have to look for for regoing a imported car, as I've seen what can happen when you dont do it right the first time, it gets costly.

Thank's
Kevin

these cars and cars like them are pieces of sh@t

i had a suburban (holden) and was a bitza. blazer dash, canadian body, assembled in mexico to get around export tariffs.

i will never, ever no matter how cheap, buy another one.

i recommend noone else does either.

Thanks: 2 times
I drove one of these suckers locally but LHD when fairly new, and it was a barge. I drove all the 4WDs of the era and it's hard to think of one that was much worse. Soft uncomfortable seats, soft front suspension, leaf spring live axle rear on a high centre of gravity 4WD - which doesn't have great 4WD ability. Think Ford Exploder, only built by Chev. Look, I get it with Jap imports - value for money (on paper - sometimes in reality they are junk, just low-kay junk) and I'm a GM man myself, but that vehicle was by no means GM's finest.

I should qualify that I have not driven the RHD ex-Japan Blazers - they could be great. Drive one and see what you think, but an Adventra would be a far better wagon for similar money I reckon, and you won't have to scour the place for spare parts.

I'm looking at the RHD 2002 Cadillac Seville ex-Japan myself. Nice car for $10k.
