Hi all,

My SRS warning light on my VY Commode comes on everytime I start the car. On the instrument cluster display it indicates that my steering wheel airbag and seat belt need attention.

Any idea what causes this problems and is it easily fixed.

I went to a Holden dealer and they feigned that they had no idea of what was wrong, but referred me to book the car in for inspection.

It might be a simple thing and over servicing by them.

Kind regards
George

It will have to be at least plugged into a scanner, to be properly diagnosed.

Hi,

Thanks for that Dr Terry, as I have had over-servicing problems with this Holden dealer in the past.

My central locking on key was playing up and they said that it was the battery within it, and I had to fork out for a brand new key.

About a month later the spare key did exactly the same, but I got a different serviceman who was more forthcoming with information. He said to simply open door by inserting key into lock, then insert key into ignition and the chrome dot on key when it makes contact with chrome bezel of ignition switch, re-sets the key. Better than forking out for a new key for no reason, other than a lazy serviceman over-servicing.

Kind regards George
