Hi all Does anyone have a tip on how to redo the lettering on the hk rectangular dash surround , ie the words,
WIPER.WASHER CHOKE ACC.LOCK.ON.START LIGHTS any additional tips for restoring this dash piece from scratch would be welcome.

How about taking a digtal pic of the best example of each. eg "choke""lights" etc. Dump 'em on to the computer, open them with the Paint programe, tidy them up, reduce to the correct size and print on sticker paper?

Don't know if's possible but thats where I'd start.

It's a programe for making decals for models. Dunno if it would work, but I can't see why not. You'd have to coat the decals with
clear for durability, but since you're making one set, you might as well run off some spares.........

Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

i would speak to a guy in VIC who does this from scratch meaning vacuum metalizing black outs and letters reprinted as per factory.He does a top job as i sent him mine and am very happy, not cheap though about 500 to do dash surround heater panel and glovebox strip on a kingswood.I can give his number if you like.

Thanks guys and yes hkute68 I would appreciate getting his number ,perhaps a few others may need the same job done too as after 40 years even the best kept car has wear and tear on these dash parts , could you reply with it through this forum. Thanks.
