Without seeing it, when fitting the bailey channel into the quarter vent windows section, did the tiny spikes that secure this channel protrude into where the glass slides? Are the quarter vent windows, either front or rear doors, located & secured in the door frame correctly? Once in correctly, have they been adjusted to make sure they are parallel & not out of alignment? If out of alignment, the window will be trying to twist as it travels up & down in the channels. Are window winders easy to turn when out of the door & have they been lubricated? Does the nylon wheel on the window winder, that runs in the lower track of the window, turn or is it seized? Contact via email if you need a hand. |

No, but it is a commonly used alternative & much, much easier to fit than repro original. |

Just had a thought. The bailey channel that fits into the vertical runner of the quarter vent window may need to be a slightly smaller profile. The larger profile, used around the rest of the door, will not leave enough room for the window to fit, therefore binding. Reading FastEHHolden's reply jogged the memory. Perhaps give Rares a call to see if the quarter vent runner requires a different bailey channel profile.
