Hi everyone
Recently purchased a set of remanufactured 72 Bathurst Globes for my XY GT.
Im no expert but from what ive learnt the spokes are supposed to be a rough cast natural finish and the centre and outer rim are machine finished as per original.
Problem i have is the rough cast area has white stain deposits in some areas, also a dark yellowish colour to it, some wheels worse than others, if you line all 4 up together the spoke areas all differ in colour and no consistency!
Looks crap!
The supplier said it could be machining fluid or something similar and to remove it with kero.
Tried that, wont budge.
Curious to know if anyone else has found the same problem and if so how did you retify it?
Prefer not to paint the area but looks like the only fix at this stage.
Hope that makes sense and someone can help!
