Hi Nessy, K = McKinnon plant in Canada, 10 = October, 16 = 16th day. There's lots of sites on the www about this sort of stuff, here's one that you can try.

Too many numbers. Should only be 5 numbers after the 307 and before the K. It is from a HK or HT assembled in the Elizabeth plant. If the number is actually 74640 or 74664 or 74660 it is probably too early for HK Monaro, so should be from a HK Premier, Kingswood or Belmont.

As HK1837 said, too many numbers after 307, but you've got it now and thats the car HK or HT assembled at elizabeth, the engine assembled at McKinnon....Jack
