Hi guys is it hard to do a disc brake front end on a ute or is it better to leave the drums on it, so what sort do i use if i just upgrade them thanks.

Get them of an HG. They are the bigger brakes. Put a booster on, change the rear wheel cylinders, change the stubs and put calipers and discs on.

As above. Or change to HQ discs and calipers instead of the HG ones. Only hassle is changing the rears to HQ pattern, HQ drums will fit straight on but you'll need to get the stud pattern changed on the axles somehow.
