hi i bought a HG ute and i would like to find out what info u can get from the tags.

Small tag - 8018dgh678271

Model - 80180GR
Body - 31884-S
Trim - 1197-16A
Paint - 568-12202

HG319068

any advance would be apreceated

6cyl Belmont, Pagewood (Sydney) assembled and constructed.

1197 is cascade green
16A is green vinyl interior trim.

That last digit of the chassis number is an S not an 8.

thanks it has a 253 in it at the monent engine number is 1ut677286 could u tell me wat that came out of thanks

ps i thought the v8s only ad disc brakes which this one has

It is probably 11QT677286 which is a 308 from a 9/75 to 10/75 (or thereabouts) HJ Statesman.

Discs were standard on HG V8 but optional on all others.

That's quite a rare car, these days anyway.

It is a late 1971 HG V8 manual Kingswood ute, built in Brisbane (after the HQ intro).

I think that the body no. should read 21040B (not 210408).

Does it have the original engine & if so, what is the engine prefix ?

It was painted Glacier White with Turquoise Mist interior trim.

well it had a 350 in it when i bought it, but they would only come with 253's or 308's i would of thought. the 350 numbers are 11QU74060 K03 09H if thats any help?? the moter has been in the ute over 10 years that i know from the previous owner
