Last two no. 58 standard semi-sealed batteries (1980 Falcon) have bought have had a 10 unit difference in SG with no.1 and no.6 cells. Been suggested that "all the battery needs is a good charge" BUT charging raises the SG of 1 & 6 to 1240 but then 2,3,4,5 are then relatively higher on 1250 - still not equal. We buy batteries on trust believing the SG is equal in all cells for a good service life. What make of battery would you recommend that the SG of all cells are equal ?? One supplier that exclusively only sells batteries was not prepared to pick out a battery that had an equal specific gravity. What would you do ??
