I'm yet to encounter a GXL wagon, and can't dig up information them. I know they are a foot longer and four inches wider. THis one has a two-way tail gate and all other goodies. No Ford did not make a GXL wagon. They made a Fairmont wagon that could be optioned with a Rally pack with some features from the GXL sedan but not the cloth seats. Where did you get the longer sn wider "information" ????

the longer and wider information was provided by the guy who sold it to me. It has fairmont Gxl badges and maintanence book. Supposeley they are from America and were used as Hursts. What are the original 1979 ford fairmont Dimensions?

They were never wider. The herses were stretched, yes, but not made any wider, unless you're talking about the area of the cab where the coffin sits, that could be made wider I suppose. I've never seen a herse with sports bonnet and dash before?
