Just got issue 56 here in NZ , I cannot beleive they put a gt-ho on the front cover again !! , when they had a great story with the NZ VH SS , They seem to have used most of my photos I supplied for the article , but I also offered the full GMNZ parts listing for NZ VH SS ( which they did not want ? ) this has every special part that was fitted to these cars . This is New Zealand's only true Mussle Car ever made ! and we have to see a poxiy yellow falcan , with some new secret stuff . Mark. |

Must be a lead in for yet another article for " how good the cancelled phase 4 gtho would have been" :)
Or someone's cobbled togther "phase 23 & a half" We're about due for one of those.
The gtho was overated when new & overpriced now. And as someone once said "a tarted up fairmont is not a legendary muscle car"

I stopped buying that magazine ages ago, I got sick and tired of the disproportional racing coverage and the lack of decent technical articles.

There's another mag out now called Aussie Muscle for the Enthusiast. First issue was February this year. They thought the same about AMC. so decided to do their own thing.

these cars alway have, will and continue to grace the covers of magazines because they are still the most collected, valuable, revered, and sought after vehicle this once prosperous country has ever produced, and only an "elite" few can own them and drive them, when you tossils whinge and whine about them, it always reminds me about the ole story about the cat and the fish... work that one out whilst i'm enjoying my phase 23.5 GTHO world beater pfft ahhahaa PS, 10 HK-TG 81837'S in all different colors still dunn even come close to a track red PH111 Edited by user Wednesday, 17 August 2011 2:33:28 AM(UTC)

Have to agree with Frank in one way. Ford Australia only ever built 3 x really good cars: Phase II, Phase III and RPO83. There is nothing else worth having from their stable and hence why these are so valuable. The Pahse II and III have since been proven to be not so far (if at all) in front of their GMH stablemates in performance (see article in AMC on late HG GTS350) but will cr@p all over the HG in durability and have a race proven pedigree which the HG didn't. There is no point in bagging the GT-HO's, they are what they are. Let their seemingly over-priced values stay as they are and drag up the value of Valiants, Holdens and Toranas with them and all be happy! |
