Anyone found the REVS scheme worthwhile when buying a used car?

Qld transport runs what they call a V check, but it's only good fro vehicles made after 1989 (ish)

Since the car I'm looking at is a 1970, and imported into Aus 3-4 years ago and I'm told never registered here, I wonder if it's worth it.

Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

Won't hurt, and it is free. Just do it online. Enter the Chassis number and rego number. This doesn't protect you from repossession (you need a REVS certificate for this which costs) but it tells you the same info.
