i was wondering what could i do to my 250 to get some more up and go?
i have extractors and going for a bigger exhaust
what else could i possibly do?
(250 x flow carby engine)

redline manifold and a 350 holley will give it a good boost but will drink more than the stock webber.the webber itself is a great carb but the stock manifold is a shocka for flow.i think a stock webber flows around 280cfm?these are all bolt on items and

if the rest of the engine is stock the 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 exhaust will be good, if you go any bigger you will hurt you performance especially the low down torque. you can put a 3" exhaust on it, a stage 3 cam and valve springs (maken it rev to 5500 6000rpm) 3

what sort of pricing roughly am i loooking at for the redline manifold and the 350 holley?

new there $350 for the manifold but you can get them on ebay or the trading post from $50-$100 second hand,a good 350 holley around $100.i wouldn't go a 4 barrel (465 holley)unless the motor has had a cam change etc.what car do you have?

Once you have worked out an intake manifold and carbi application,if you want more go.Fit a cam and also have your head rebuilt with larger valves,might also suggest an electric fuel pump.If its an auto have the auto shift kitted with a small stall to sui
