due to unplanned circumstances (well, i didnt plan on that many at once lol) Im going to need extra seating in the crapwagon or a 7 seat vehicle.
since theres nothing inspiring in my price range (not much) and most 7 seaters are fairly bland anyway im wondering if there is a third row of seating option for BF wagons.
Are these a "good" idea, safety wise etc, who makes them etc and what are the options for such seating.
cheers phill

Yes dickie seats were available for your wagon in two and three seat form. My parents BA wagon has them. If looking for a secondhand dickie seat you will need to get one to suit an AU, BA or BF wagon as the earlier model seats tend to be mounted in the spare wheel well whereas AU onwards wagons have a flat cargo floor with the spare being winched up under the back of the car. http://www.ebay.com.au/i...R6-XR8-V8-/290627627987

All I can say on the comfort is that I have never heard a complaint from the nieces or nephews about the dickie seat in tha back of my parents BA.
I think that they legally need to be fitted by an authorised seatbelt fitting station and the rego of the car has to be changed to 7 seater in NSW at least. Vicroads will tell you more about that.
I believe that they can also be had in a three seater forward facing version.

cheers mate, the (other) kids are small enough that the crewman rear seats were fine (i just didnt like scraping lollies off the leather or hearing them kick the back of the front seats grrrr)
Ill look into whats required for legal fitment.
