Hi,

Couple of questions on this car. If the seating capacity on the plates indicates 5, I assume it came with bucket seats. The engine/gear box combination is L31/M21 and it has the hole in the floor for the shift.

Quotes from the adds description read "ALL TAGS HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED FROM VEHICLE (STILL ORIGINAL RIVETS) AND ALL MATCH TO THE VEHICLE." and "THE FLOOR HAS NEVER BEEN TOUCHED AND IS RUST FREE".

Wouldn't all GTS 4-speed bucket seat cars have a floor console. It seems to be missing the rear console mount on the floor which would of been there with the full console or seat sepaerator.

Could you get this configuation without any console?

It may have had floor work. A check of the number on the firewall and contact with The Holden Monaro Register will confirm if the body and tags belong together. I'm almost certain you couldn't get a HQ GTS without console.

maybe its just had the mounts tsken off??when i was younger and wanted the true "bare bones street racer" american theme in my cars, they got a hurst indy and an immediate console delete leaving just a chrome shifter and rubber boot poking throught the carpet, and i used to grind the console brackets off
tuff, and i'd say thats a contender for thats sort of mod judging by its history in the pics, its had a B&M shifter on the 400t/h and no console, so to keep it clean, the mounts have to go

Frank might be right, but HQ console mounts are so small they easily hide under the carpet.
