Chasing after a HG Panelvan bottom tail gate section. Has anyone got one for sale (prefer in SA). Is the stationwagon same as panelvan/ute? I found this on evilBay, seems way over priced for my likings. What is the opinion of all you people in the know. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...wItem&item=300631717779

Well I certainly wouldnt pay that for one!!!
The station wagon gate is all wrong for the van, the width and shape dont match along with the body lines. Height is wrong too.
The ute gate will fit the van, but you will have to notch about 10x20mm out from each top corner to get it to shut properly. I'll send you a photo next time I go to the shed.
New skins are about $150-200 on the bay. Look around for a while, and you will pick up whole ones between $70-250 (depending on condition)over the last 12 months. Freight cost me $37 from Newcastle to Canberra.
You will save heaps if you can do the body work yourself, or pay the big $1100 for someone else to do it for you. |

Cheers, i have had a look and seen a few but were way over priced for my likings. The price you mentioned i thought is reasonable. A new skin wont fix my problem. I can do the body work too :)
No hurry though, i'll just truck along until something reasonable comes up.
I thought stationwagon was different but wasn't 100% sure, cheers.
