hi this is my first post on here i just bought a xa falcon 500 sedan in very original condition even the orignal wireless in it. it has a few rusty spots one large hole in the left hand guard and in the bonnet and plenty of surface rust that i can see through the thick layer of dust that covers the car. i was seeing if anybody has any advice on wether i should do it up in orignal condition or turn it into a beasty gt as this car was made 14yrs before i was even born and im not sure on if turning it into a gt would wreck what is a classic vehicle but still dont know if i want to be driving around a granpas car haha its even got a sunvisor accross the front windscreen...any information would be appreciated

Welcome!
Firstly I'll say that it's your car to do what you want with.
Having said that I'd start by cleaning it up, assessing what repairs it needs such as the rust holes.
After doing that you may find that you have a very presentable car by just fitting a nice set of wheels, a stereo and maybe some exhaust work.
If you decide to build a GT replica it may consume a lot of time and money and YOU might be a grandpa by the time it hits the road.
What colour is it?

What Jim said. Also is it a 6 or an 8? You couldn't go too wrong with a bit of a suspension upgrade, some decent wheels and maybe upgrade the brakes to XF callipers. Half decent sound system and you won't really have to spend the money on the GT parts which are shall we say a bit on the expensive side with XA. Especially the front end stuff like bonnets, grills, guards.
