gday

i changed my manifold last weekend from a stock blu motor manifold to a brock manifold and also blocked off the exhaust cross over off. now when i accelerate when cold it has a big flat spot at about 2000 rpm and sometimes backfires through the carby. i know that this is probly from the exhaust cross over being blocked so the intake is not heated but when it is at running temp around 80 deg it stil has a slight flat spot. but once its over that is flies compared to the old manifold. does any1 know what is going on????

thanx for any help

The exhaust crossover also heats the choke & allows it to release upon warming up.

If it still thinks the motor is cold, and is closed, it will put too much fuel in for the amount of air required at that temp - giving an overly rich mixture - which can
Cheers,

Have it put on the dyno and get your air/gas mixtures checked if you are using the Brock malifold with the flat floor the fuel is delivered quicker than with the ribbed floor manifolds
