Well if you're asking this in a Holden forum then you're bound to get the 253 as the winner, but those EFI 250s had quite a bit of poke for a tractor engine..... |

Ya cant beat a 253 with Holley or Quad. A great sound. What sounds does a EFI 250 make ? "sss-sss-sss" ~ nothing zip silent......boring !!!!
GMH have oodles of good EFI motors. They make the same sounds of course, but you dont have to fix or repair it

253`s are better on fuel for my experience particulary pre pollution , I`m sure both have good and bad points, both are old motors and both have their fans and critics so its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other !

You'll never be late in a V8. Love the sound of a 253 full song, ain't life grand.

The only 253 I had was a magic wee unit. Would pull away from the lights in 4th, or do 100K in 1st (who needs an auto). Run on the smell of an oily rag, roll on power to die for, who could ask for more.
Jeez I miss my 'naro. |
