Can anyone shed some light i have 2 clevos both virgins one 302 and one 351 the 302 has a JG witch i know is mostly on all clevo blocks and the 351 has a JH witch iv never seen on a clevo can any one tell me whats the diff if any in these blocks and wich would be the better one to use befor i start bulding the beast i dont need to know about the insides only need to know about the blocks as i have all the good stuff to put in. I think JH means it's made in Brisbane instead of Broadmeadows which is JG. Not so common a sight. That's the only difference between the 2.

i think paul is right jh is made somewere other than Broadmeadows. my fairlane's number starts with JH instead of JG. i would think the block would be the same, just that the car was made at a different plant so the block got a different number (to match

I think jh was Geelong factory and mainly found on the later Zh fairlanes etc?

Sorry Scooter, JH is Brisbane. JG is Broadmeadows. I've seen JH XBs and XAs a few times up here but they are very rare compared to the JG units.

JH is definitely Brisbane assembly plant. Generally it is on the high series cars (Fairlanes and LTD's)but some Falcons were also built there. The block would still have originated from the Geelong engine foundry same as any 'JG' Cleveland engine.

just one thought re block codes.....might need to take into consideration for fitment of dizzy's the year code...ie the letters after jh63,(whatever)in my case its WS which tells me its a 79 block, built in july of that year....thats a "BLACK" block, w Edited by user Saturday, 7 May 2005 9:56:52 PM(UTC)

As stated above, JH = Eagle Farm plant. From April 1978 onward, all fairlanes and LTD's were made at the Eagle Farm plant. raeson for this is that Fprd wanted to increase production for the Falcon (forward planning for the XD).
