Hi Guys.
Does anyone know the standard gap between the doors and panels on a HZ prem? I am having trouble getting them the same. If I know the standard gap measurement I can make some spacers to fit between the panels and doors so the gaps are the same all round the car which would make life so much easier.

The standard, approved from the factory gap was "if it's on the car, it's close enough".
Sorting out the gaps is a buggery process, generally requires a couple of people, and my experience is allow an hour or so per panel that you are trying to gap. (And expect that the last one will change all of those that came before).
I have managed to get my HJ gaps pretty even at about 4 - 5 mm all round the doors and guards, with the nose needing a bit of persuading to line up all round, then having to change it slightly when the bonnet went on to get it lining up right. Bonnet could still stand to go forward a mm or two, but it's close enough for me. |
