I just read that the 202 in HZ's have 81kw and the 202 in HJ's have 101kw. I thought it was odd since the HZ is newer and you'd think they would improve upon it, not remove 20kw..
I have a feeling it's something to do with the fitment of RTS, but not completely sure. Does anyone know why this is?

Also I'd just like to say I'm sorry for posting so much frequently, I'm a very curious fella. Cheers.
No worries, mate.

You cannot compare DIN and SAE power ratings. It is like comparing the aerodynamics of a projectile in air and in water. GMH changed how they rated the engines.

That's correct, in the mid to late 70s, virtually all major motor manufacturers changed from using 'gross' output figures to 'net' figures.

To add to what Byron has said, you can't compare the advertised output of an 60s car to a 90s car, they are measured differently.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

The HZ is measured the same way as HJ, ADR27a is the culprit.

The same 81kW engine in an HZ becomes 64kW in the VB. This is the rating system changing the power output.

HZ 3.3 L auto is 118 hp = 88KW in SAE
HZ 3.3 L manual is 109 HP = 81 KW in SAE
VB 3.3 L commodore auto is 69 KW in DIN
VB 3.3 L manual in 64 KW in DIN
I do believe the cam is a little different with the auto and the manual

HJ 202 had 135 HP SAE
