When i use the heater in my vr (v6)
i get a petrol smell in the cabin...
any ideas??

No idea really, but might pay to check the fuel line hoses next to the firewall in the engine bay, and also the connections on the fuel rails.
The hoses are attached to the metal pipes with hose clamps, and perhaps one of these hsa come loose or deterior

2 things to check.

1/ look in the valley on top of the engine. when the injector seals perish, they start pumping fuel into the valley. Slightly alarming when we spotted it first time.

2/ the vacuum hoses which activate the heater gates (direction
