I could not tell you categorically what an XB can tow however I can tell you that XD-XF wagons had three towbars. The basic one was rated at 1000 or so KG then you could get a 1600Kg unit and then the big Hayman Reese type 2300KG bar.

E series wagons had the option of a 1200kg 1600kg and 2300Kg bars so at an educated guess I would say there are similar bars available for an XB wagon.

I fitted a big Hayman Reese 2300kg unit to my old XE wagon. The main drawback was that it hung low and used to bottom out on driveways if I was not overly cautious.

http://www.haymanreese.com.au/ used to have an online listing of all of their towbars but I cannot find it today so you might have to talk to their local dealer. You never know they might still be making a 2300KG bar for an XA-XC wagon.
