G'day All, Just looking for opinions here, I have a sunroof/moonroof that I was thinking of putting on the tonner, but have never had one before, so I was wondering whether they are really worth cutting a big hole in your roof for, because its a bit hard to go back once you do it, a bit like a tattoo I guess, you have to be sure you want one. I think they look nice, but , asthetics is only a very minor consideration for me, practicality rules the roost in my world. So has anybody had one and what are the for's and against's. Cheers.

all the 1 tonners and utes ive ever seen have eventually leaked...also..generally the sunroof is flat and the roof has a reverse curve...therefore water sits on the sunroof when parked flat. |

To fit one to a tonner you are limited to the pop up ones, or the ones that tilt up & then slide back over the top of the roof - which are pretty hard to find.
I have had 2 cars with them, both commodores, both installed by myself (only amateur DIY) an |

Don't do it! I've got one in my Overlander roof and I plan to change the cab to get rid of it. It does keep your vehicle cooler in summer, but you have to remember to shut it when it starts to rain. |
