Hi all,

Just been told by my engineer (who 6 months ago told me otherwise) that the fitment of 15x10 wheels to the back of my xw sedan is a no go.

Has anyone else had their car engineered to allow the fitment of the wider wheels.

His only suggestions was to show that the diff can take the stress of 8" wheels standard - then the increase of up to 2 inches is allowed.

Anybody know of a make model car that came from the factory with a 9" diff / drum brakes and 8" wheels?

Appreciate any help i can get!

Thanks tuff250,

The offset on the rims is set perfect for my 9" so the 15x10's fit beautifully without any modifications and get full travel without faouling anything. Look really good with the 275's as well.

I'll check out the sports road wheels

The Globes on the GTs were 7inch standard.
My coupe has 15 x 8s with 295s. (Rear)
15x7 235s front. (Bit big for the front imho, but I hate prostreet tramtrackers)

Well we have a solution...

RTA VSI 09 rev 4 states that a pre 1973 (adr 24) passenger vehicle in excess of 1401kgs can have a maximum rear rim width of 10"s. Provisions on this are that the fron must be a minimum of 70% of the rear.

So its all good
