I started shopping around and found this...

http://853599.autopartoo.com/product/356845.html

$US 1 to 2 each for orders of 100.

Is gouging something Aussies retailers just do? Gerry Harvey whines about people buying online from overseas, when you compare us to other markets on consumer goods we always seem to be paying a premium.

My MSD dissy for example, $250 from Summit and $750 from Rocket.

Anyway my question is are these mounts all the same or is one brand better than others?

I wouldn't touch something like that with a barge pole. It's cheap because is a chinese copy of a Holden/GM part.

They will copy anything, but they don't know why/how it was designed a certain way, and there's a very good chance something will not be right.

The OEM mounts are oil filled (hydraulic), work well and last for years.
How long would these last?
Cheers,

Mick

Mick, I wouldn't touch them either, but there are plenty of the hydraulic "OEM type" on eBay selling for upwards of $50 the pair. I was merely pointing out that if you can wholesale them at $1 to $2 US each why are they still $50 the pair here. Also, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the genuine replacement part was also made in China or Taiwan.

The ones on my car are the originals and they have been pinged at every service for the last couple of years, so I'm going to change them myself.

Just wanting to know which aftermarket brand is the best, considering the GMH ones run at about $100 each.
