Hi guys I'm trying to chase down some information for a mate on the Holden EH S4 that came second at Bathurst in 1963. The car was driven by the Morgan/Sach team and was numbered 15C.

The record books indicate that the car was registered for the race as Blue in colour.

I am trying to find out what colour blue?

Black and white photos that I have seen indicate that it is more likely a light blue (Wedgewood) rather that the darker (Neptune racing) blue.

I was wondering if anyone may have any historical data (or memories) of what colour this car actually was.

Hi Jason.

It's unlikely to be Wedgewood, that's an EJ colour.

From the B & W pix that I've seen of 15C, it's most likely to be Amberley Blue. It was the only light blue used in the S4 era apart from Aqua Turquoise, which would appear darker, even in a B & W photo.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
