How much grease should go in new ball joints?
and also im doing up a stato and want to know how to replace the little nail/screw things that hold on the chrome trim around the windows as a couple have rusted off / fallen off / disapeared

Hi GlennPerth.

New ball joints are already greased, you can add some more if you wish, but not too much. Many ball joint problems stem from overgreasing & split boots.

I usually just top them up until I see the boot move because it is full and leave it at that. Dunno if that's the right thing to do or not, it's just the way I've always done it.

Those little nail/screw things can be replaced by purchasing them from RareSpares or other well equiped auto store.
The replacements are actually a special rivet, and are attached to the vehicle the same way you attach any rivet.
