I am wanting some assistance in finding a good mechanic who has worked on Ford Fairlanes. I am wanting to change the Speedo Dial in which the one in the car is fluttering and I do have a spare one to be installed. In addition can anyone recommend me a good mechanic who works on Fords. 70's Ford that is. Or maybe a Mechanic is reading this and can help me.I live in the Mulgrave area South East of Melbourne. 0407 307 507 is my Number. Cheers and thanks for reading.

The speedo fluttering is usually a sticky speedo cable. Luckily for you that item will be the same as an XY Falcon so you can probably get a new one from Rare Spares.
You should be able to replace that yourself as it's a relatively easy job.
I'm nowhere near Melbourne so I can't advise on a good mechanic down that way. |
