Hey guys iv just bought a vr 5 ltr ute the fella I bought it of told me the motor was out of a vt but the prefix does match up the eng number is v2qxxxxx has anyone heard of the sort of number before any help would be great

I don't think it is a Holden engine plant number. VT should be either VM, VN or VP. The only thing I can think of that would come close would be an SVP whioh is a replacement engine for a VT with a 220kW 350ci/5.7L Holden engine.
