G'day. Finally I am looking to purchase a HK GTS Monaro but want to find out if the tags belong to the body. Tags read, small tag 80737KJ15XXX8, big tag 807374XXX4M Chassis HK2XXX9A. I understand that the tags are GTS HK tags and that there are no details on the tags for a HK that determine if the car is a factory 186s or 307 car. I know the car is not fitted with its original engine anyway as it is fitted with a 327. So basically what I am asking is, do these tags belong on this body? From my research and what I understand the body is an Adelaide built body shell and the tags are Melbourne tags. This signifies to me that the shell was built in Adelaide and sent to Melbourne for assembly/sale which I know some plants done at the time. Would I be correct in saying this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Brad.
