Hi there, new forum is great. I have a HQ with a 3 speed manual on the tree. Looking at buying a HZ indicator stalk so i can use the window wipers on the stalk. Question is; can i buy just the stalk and does it just bolt in/on or is it easier to get the stalk with the sleeve as well and just swap it in? cheers Brian |

Hi Brian,
I have done this conversion a couple of times, once into the original column in an LJ and once where I changed the whole column in an HQ. You will need the upper column jacket as well as the later indicator switch and you will need to do a bi

It is an easy conversion using HX/HZ/UC parts, but WB (and Commodore) is a bit more difficult. The difference is the reversing lights. WB and Commodore (not sure if this applies to all VB Commodores) have separate reversing lights, and these are controlle |

Hi Guys.
I've done this conversion a few times, & I've just left the blinker switch intact & changed the stalk only. Then you only have to worry about the wiper wiring.
You do, of course have to cut the larger square hole for the wiper switch type s |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Hi guys, The colourcoding is different for the wipers (WB Stato column to HQ). The wires are mostly the same colours, but in a different order but this may be dependent on which wiper motor too. Byron is correct with the indicators, In the HQ column Edited by user Sunday, 8 May 2005 12:14:57 PM(UTC)

Yep....Daves got it right. Light blue & yellow BOTH joint to light blue. Dark green & dark blue BOTH join to dark blue. I've done this conversion quite a few times a while back. Just couldn't remember which pairs joined into single wires. Wiper connec |

Hi Bruce,
I *THINK* the dark blue from the car joins the the grey wire for the WB Stato wiper switch in the column. Then you need to run a new wire from the dark blue on the column to the washer motor.
I had a quick look at the Qute today, but need
